These drill bits were supposedly put inside of Tony's mouth by his parents, at least partly for identification purposes. The drill bits also appear to be family heirlooms, and Tony will sometimes discuss the quality of the metal used in these drill bits. The value of these drill bits have made Tony a target from the [[Satellite Man]], members of the [[The U.S. Government|U.S. government]], and other bad-faith actors who seek to steal them. However, these drill bits may in fact be fillings, which dentists sometime use to fill cavities.
