Cigarettes
Tony is known to frequently smoke cigarettes and use vape pens, with Tony primarily choosing to smoke Lucky Strike-brand cigarettes. Tony has evidently used cigarettes for most of his adult life, and over time, he has developed a number of delusional beliefs about the cigarettes he smokes, which he will occasionally elaborate upon in his YouTube videos. In particular, he claims that his family has extensive ties to the tobacco industry and that the Satellite Man and the U.S. government have been harassing him on account of his smoking habits. He also claims that his cigarettes are specially designed to help him cope with his supposed asthma.
Interestingly, it is fairly common for schizophrenics to smoke cigarettes, and this correlation has been studied in various psychiatric publications. In 2006, it was found that approximately 80% of American schizophrenics regularly smoked cigarettes, whereas only 20% of the general population smoked cigarettes regularly.[1] It is not known for certain why this correlation exists however.
Beliefs About Cigarettes
Tony has made some strange statements about cigarettes, such as claiming that his family has ties to the tobacco industry. Tony has claimed in one video that the cigarette industry is "primarily owned by Catholics and Jews."[2]
Tony has also claimed that any girl who has not smoked cigarettes at least once is ineligible to date him.[3]
In another video, Tony calls for cigarette companies to sell cigarettes rolled with paper resembling American paper money, but he does not explain why or how he came up with this idea.[4]
Asthma Cigarettes

Tony often refers to his cigarettes as asthma cigarettes. Specifically, he claims that his cigarettes have special additives that help alleviate his supposed asthma symptoms. However, the cigarettes Tony typically smokes are ordinary store-bought cigarettes, and as such, they almost certainly are not providing Tony with any real medical benefits. It is also not known for certain whether Tony has asthma.
While the belief that cigarettes could be used to alleviate asthma symptoms, cigarettes specifically designed for this purpose have existed and were sold commercially during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. During this time, several brands of cigarettes were marketed as remedies to asthmatics, and these cigarettes typically contained additives such as stramonium and various herbs.[5] The efficacy of these cigarettes as remedies still remains under debate.[6]
Tony is seen in a video explaining what he knows about asthma cigarettes.[7] Here, he claims that people can obtain prescriptions for asthma cigarettes under the Lucky Strike brand.
Strangely, in the above video, he claims that the cigarettes are "like Molly cigarettes." By "Molly," he appears to be referencing the common street name for the illicit drug MDMA. However, in another video, he explains that Molly cigarettes are actually fake cigarettes.

Tony has faced repeated persecution from satellite controllers for smoking cigarettes. According to Tony, these satellite controllers are not only against smoking but also hate people who smoke cigarettes.[8] Tony claims that satellite controllers have been burning his teeth and mouth and then blaming the burns on Tony's smoking habits, which Tony claims is impossible.[9] The satellite controllers will frequently communicate taunts to Tony about his smoking habits, but Tony insists that smoking is his right as an American and that his habits pose no real threat to his health.[10]

Tony even claims that cigarette smokers are a protected class of people in Indiana.[11] While it is true that employers in Indiana are generally not allowed to discriminate against smokers, Tony claims that these laws protect him from harassment by satellite controllers.

Tony will sometimes attempt to quit smoking in order to prevent further attacks by the Satellite Man.[12] He has attempted to quit at least once before.[13] On the other hand, the satellite controllers will attack Tony to force him to purchase cigarettes, but this may be a case of Tony misattributing the cause of his nicotine cravings.[8]
